Terms & Conditions Apartments Barcelona

Please, read carefully this information about general Terms & Conditions to be applied our lodging renting services website (APARTMENTS BARCELONA from now on) for electronic commerce of accomodation services is owned by Iniciativas Guscar, S.L., which acts as tourist intermediary.

Lodging reservation

Lodging reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the booking deposit of the chosen lodging and days of stay. Payment will be done by credit card or bank transfer to the account number of the online booking procedure. Total deposit is 25% of accommodation cost (VAT included), excluded supply (in case of an only monthly rental option), cleaning service neither local tourist tax if it is applicable.

APARTMENTS BARCELONA will confirm by e-mail reservation since booking deposit is done. In this e-mail you will find the lodging exact address, contact details, quantity to pay on arrival and other information about arrival and departure.

Remember that booking deposit can be not refundable (see cancellation policy).

Payment details

Upon your arrival to the lodging, the remaining accommodation costs along with a damage deposit, cleaning service and local touristic tax (if applicable) will be paid IN CASH or by VISA or MASTERCARD. Damage deposit and cleaning service costs can be found in the lodging window of APARTMENTS BARCELONA website. In case of only monthly rental option available, the cost of water, electricity and gaz supply will be also paid at arrival.

This payment can be also done by bank transfer if received three days before scheduled day of arrival. Transfer costs to be paid by customer).

Local tourist tax

An overnight accommodation tax per person has been implemented by the Catalan Government as of 1st of November 2012 of 2,48 euros in Barcelona or 0,99 euros in the rest of Catalonia, which is not included in the price. Maximal cost of this tax is the equivalent to 7 consecutive nights per person and stay. This tax will not be applied for children under the age of 17 and will be paid at the arrival to the apartment.

Cancellation Policy

Any booking change or cancellation has to be done by e-mail. Phone call will not be enough to do it.

Cancellation fee will be charged depending on the days in advance guest send us the mail with the cancellation details:

- More than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date: no cancellation fee, so the reservation deposit will be refunded.

- Less than 30 days to 8 days prior to scheduled arrival date: total reservation deposit will not refunded.

- Less than 7 days prior to scheduled arrival date: the total amount of the reservation is the cancellation fee.

Any change of scheduled dates or lodging is subject to the same cancellation policy above mentioned.

Any cancellation, even in the case of force majeure, is subject to the cancellation policy detailed in Terms and Conditions of services herewith included. To avoid losing reservation deposit, we kindly suggest you to contract a travel insurance for cancellation costs. Clicking in the next link, you can get one Allianz Global Assistance ATTIS.

If the reserved lodging can not be provided, will inform our guest and will offer another similar or with higher standard by the same cost and in the same location. In case of dissatisfaction, previous payment will be refunded according to:

- fully refunded if prior to check-in

- proportionally to days of stay not used

Damage deposit

Lodging rental has a damage deposit as civil liability as guarantee for the lodgment and its content for any damages caused, either voluntarily or involuntarily.

Depend on the lodging, a damage deposit between 200 and 600 euros will be requested upon arrival, no matter number of days of stay, and will be paid in cash upon arrival.

Damage deposit is refundable when keys are returned and no damage is found. If keys are not returned, there will be an extra charge of 20 € by key.

Arrivals and departures

Before your arrival

Please, be sure we know your expected time of arrival updated in order to manage check-in and keep your contact person informed about any change or delay. You can update this information sending an e-mai to

Your contact person will have your phone number and e-mail address if there is any need to contact you about your arrival.

In the booking confirmation e-mail there are indications about where to find the contact person upon arrival.

Arrival (check-in)

At your arrival at the airport (or 1 hour before your arrival to the lodging if you go by othe means), please call your contact person about how to meet you in the lodging, to collect keys and receive other information.

Lodging will be ready from 16.00 h on. Nevertheless, you can ask us if the lodging is ready before and we will try to accommodate you asap, so it is very important to know an updated time of arrival. If we do not know it in detail, you could have to wait to your contact person and delay chec-in.

Please, remember: check-in is from 16.00 h on. If your arrival is later than 21 h, late chek-in has an additional cost of 30 € (VAT included).

Departure (check-out)

Check-out has to be done before 11.00 h.

For late check-out please ask us enough in advance to let you know whether if it is possible or not. We will try to please you if there is not other scheduled arrival for the same day.

Guests have to let lodging tidy without any rubbish.

Keys have to be returned during check-out. If keys are not returned, there will be an extra charge of 20 € by key.

Upon demand, we can book a taxi for your departure..

Cleaning service

Lodging must be clean before guests arrival.

During check-in, cleaning service will be paid depending on the chosen lodging. In each lodging window in our website, you will find the total cost of this service, which is an amount ranging from 50-70 for apartments to 250 for villas (TVA included).

Before leaving the lodging, guests are requested to let it in a fit and proper state without wastes inside.

Number and identity of guests

Number of guests on the lodgings can not exceed its maximum capacity. Guest should inform of the number of guests in the booking.

Unless specific agreement with APARTMENTS BARCELONA, only the number of persons within the booking is allowed to use the lodging.

Pets are not allowed.

Should the client fail to comply with any of the aforementioned Terms and Conditions, APARTMENTS BARCELONA reserves the right to ask the client to leave the apartment, and the client can not request any form of compensation.


Lodging rental for tourist use is a regulated tourist activity. It is possible to find different enforcement regulations to be applied in our lodgings. Either customer, APARTMENTS BARCELONA or owners are subjected to these regulations.

We must inform you that coexistence norms are regulated in each town or village. The client at check-in, agrees to behave responsibly and correctly on behalf of their accompanying party as well as themselves. Particularly, have in mind that:

- Noise regulations and respect for other residents between 22:00 and 08.00 h.

- You should avoid situations, anytime during day or night, can bother neighbours or pedestrian.

- There is a need to a civilized attitude with residents and environment, as well as to respect night rest.

We would appreciate your full cooperation in this matter and we hope you understand that these rules are necessary, as our lodgings are located in residential areas of people that need to get up early and go to work. Neighbours right rest should therefore be respected.

Loud music and parties are strictly prohibited. Guests of APARTMENTS BARCELONA should be aware that if loud music is played, or a party is held, and the neighbours complain and/or police are called, you may be immediately removed from the apartment regardless of the time, day or night.

If client do not respect related norms or if client or all those accompanying him have any responsibility of any quarrel, APARTMENTS BARCELONA reserves the right to ask client and guests with to leave the lodging, and the client can not request any form of compensation. This mean the lost of both, rental and property damage deposit paid on arrival.

May we remind you that on booking a lodging with APARTMENTS BARCELONA you accept our Terms and Conditions, which we expect you to comply with. You will also have to sign these Terms and Conditions at check-in on the day of your arrival.


Neither APARTMENTS BARCELONA nor the ldoging owner will be held responsible for any direct or indirect damgescaused to the apartment as consequence of use by the lodging guest. This includes damages, insurance, loss due to fire, theft, behaviour and criminal misconduct.

Because of any infraction above mentioned, and using own criteria, APARTMENTS BARCELONA reserves the right to ask customer to leave the lodging, and customer can not request any form of compensation.
